About The Inside Scoop

Our Story

The Inside Scoop was created in 2017 with one simple belief: everybody has a story worth hearing.

The platform was created to go beyond traditional headlines and surface-level interviews to uncover the experiences behind people's accomplishments, struggles, businesses, ministries, community work and personal journeys.

Now, The Inside Scoop is back.

Bigger vision.

More stories.

More communities.

More voices.

Same purpose.

What We Do

We aren't chasing stories simply because they're trending.

We're looking for stories that matter.

Stories that make you laugh.

Stories that make you think.

Stories that make you cry.

Stories that introduce you to someone you should know.

And stories that may help somebody realize: "If they made it through, maybe I can too."

That is what The Inside Scoop is all about.

Our Mission

To inform, inspire, entertain and connect people through authentic storytelling that highlights everyday individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations and hometown heroes whose journeys have the power to impact lives.

Our Vision

To become a trusted multimedia storytelling platform where meaningful local stories can receive regional, national and global visibility without losing the authenticity of the communities from which they came.

What Makes Us Different

We Don't Just Ask What You Did.

We ask what it took.

Plenty of platforms will tell you someone opened a business.

We want to know about the nights they almost closed it.

Others will announce an award.

We want to know about the rejection that came before it.

You might see the finished production.

We want to take you backstage.

You see the success.

We want The Inside Scoop.

Latrese B. Carter — Host of The Inside Scoop
Meet The Host

Latrese B. Carter

Storyteller. Producer. Creative. Community Advocate. Media Personality.

Latrese B. Carter brings years of experience in media, entertainment, community engagement, advocacy, event production and storytelling to The Inside Scoop.

Her ability to connect with people from different backgrounds allows interviews to move beyond rehearsed talking points and into authentic conversations about life, purpose, struggle and success.

For Latrese, the most compelling interview isn't necessarily with the most famous person in the room. It's with the person whose story can change the room.

"As creator and host of The Inside Scoop, her goal is simple: Give meaningful stories a place to be heard."

The stories that impact lives — not just nations.
